Sunday 5th October
It was the Australian football final on Sunday (what we woul know as rugby league back home)and the local team where we live, The South Sydney Rabbitoh's, had made it to the final! It had been 43 years since they last made it to the final so the build up in the area had been pretty big! They played another team the Bulldogs who were also meant to be pretty good!
There was a big screen set up on the park bet to the beach, so we headed down dressed in green and red ready to watch the game!!! It was an intense game and was pretty close still by half time! However, the Rabbitoh's did in fact end up winning, and by a big 30-6 too!! It was a great game and the fans watching were going crazy jumping up and down in disbelief that their team had won the final!! 😀
